WEEK 3 S.A.C. Songwriting Challenge

FUN stuff to write a song for advertising without a product sure was a challenge with only the knowledge to keep it light and for children.  So I thought of a fun child like melody and what it was like when my children were small and also when I was a child and made the lyrics from those memories.

Keeping it upbeat, trying to make my voice sound like a child or really young.  Lots of acoustic guitar, electric guitar, tambourine, egg shaker, laughing, clapping, keyboards and harmonies.  Now what to name the little song so I decided to call it “Dance Spin Around”

DANCE SPIN AROUND
Words & music by Joyce Grennan © 2015

Run through the sprinkler
Bounce on the trampoline
Make mud pies from the dirt
Play with toy figurines

Jump in the puddles and clap your hands
Blow giant bubbles and play in the sand

Dance dance dance
Dance and spin around
Dance dance dance
Dance fall on the ground
Dance dance dance
Wiggle till you can’t stand
Dance dance dance
Dance and spin around
Dance dance dance
Dance fall on the ground
Dance dance dance
Giggle till you can’t stand
Jiggle and spin and around
Giggle and spin around
Laugh and spin around
Laugh
